2006년, 문화관광부는 한국을 대표하는 ‘100개의 국가 문화 상징’을 발표했는데, 여기에 ‘풍수’가 포함되었다. 풍수가 선정된 이유는 ‘전통 환경사상, 선조들의 삶을 응축하는 자연생태, 전통최적주거입지론’이며, 최근 중국과 일본 외에 미국과 유럽에서도 이러한 시각은 확산되는 추세다. 이처럼 자연에서 파생된 친환경 풍수는 현대 한국에서 오히려 반자연적이고 반환경적이라는 평가를 받는 경우가 많다. 이러한 경향은 무덤의 조성과 관련하여 특히 두드러진다. 본 논문은 이 문제를 근거로 하여 풍수가 기본적으로 친환경적이라는 것을 밝힌 것이다.
Abstract
In 2006, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Korea announced the "100 National Culture Symbols" representing Korea, in which "Poongsoo" was included. The reason why Poongsoo was selected was that it is "traditional environmental thought, natural ecology condensing the life of ancestors and traditional optimal residential location theory, and has recently tended to spread in the US and Europe besides China and Japan. Like this, eco-friendly Poongsoo, derived from nature, is often conversely evaluated as anti-natural and anti-environmental when it comes to modern Korea. This tendency is particularly noticeable in relation to the construction of tombs. This article was based on this problem and revealed that Poongsoo is basically eco-friendly.
