Abstract
En este trabajo intentaremos ofrecer un análisis morfo-sintáctico del artí́culo definido en la Clá́usula Relativa Oblicua en español. En las relativas oblicuas, el español admite en algunos casos la ausencia del artí́culo definido entre la preposició́n y el relativo, por ejemplo, “El libro con (el) que me obsequió́ estudia la pintura de Frida Kahlo”. Segú́n Brucart(1999), en los casos en que el antecedente forma parte de un sintagma definido, el relativo no necesita reiterar tal cará́cter. En cambio, cuando el antecedente está́ contenido en un sintagma no definido, es necesario marcar el cará-cter definido de la menció́n anafó́rica que lleva a cabo el relativo. Hay unos estudios que intentan mostrar las caracterí́sticas sintá́cticas del artí́culo definido en las relativas oblicuas en español como Arregi(1998, 2000), Gutiérrez-Rexach & Mallén(2001), Roca-Urgell(1996) Sin embargo, a ellos les cuesta mucho mantener una aproximació́n uniforme a los fenó́-menos de la presencia/ausencia del artí́culo definido relacionado con el antecedente animado y el no animado en las relativas oblicuas. En el presente trabajo, mostraremos nuestra propia propuesta basándonos en la Morfología Distribuida de Halle y Marantz(1993) y Harley y Noyer(1998a, 1998b), insistiendo en que las relativas oblicuas en español pueden ejercer la realizació́n alternativa de la secuencia [DREL-Comp] y esta capacidad viene de la condició́n de la Materializació́n y la Fisió́n de rasgos.
