Purpose: This study sought to investigate the reality and essence of nursing students' experience of participating in a multicultural curriculum. Methods: The research methodology involved the collection of data through face-to-face interviews with 10 students from S University in the J region who had completed the multicultural curriculum, and a qualitative study was conducted through topic-oriented content analysis. Results: As a result of the analysis, 'indifference to multiculturalism', 'exclusive attitude due to prejudice and prejudice', 'recognition of a lack of culture-related knowledge', 'recognition of the necessity of multicultural education', 'positive change of perception', and 'communities coexisting together' were the six themes derived. Conclusion: These results can provide the basic data for the development of a multicultural curriculum and educational content for nursing students.
