Purpose: This study was about the experiences of nursing freshmen adjustment to university life during the coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19). Methods: Colaizzi (1978)'s phenomenological research method, which draws out phenomena through the researcher's analysis, intuition, and technique, was used. Based on the contents analyzed through interviews with researchers and 12 students, 13 topics were classified, and similar topics were collected and described in 5categories. The five categories were 'Experiences of various academic methods,' 'Experiences of various programs at university,' 'Changes in interpersonal relationships in school life,' 'Psychological changes at university,' and 'High demands for school facilities and support.' Results: This study provided basic data for qualitative improvement of nursing freshmen adjustment to university life in the COVID-19 situation by exploring the meaning and essence of the participants' experiences. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest implications for the direction of education and support for new students at universities in the COVID-19 and post COVID-19 era.
