이 연구는 기업가 학습에 대한 일의 교육적 접근을 통해 국내의 기업가학습 이론과 교육현장에 시사점을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 11명의 기업가를 대상으로 사례연구를 실시하였다. 기업가의 창업과정을 일의 과정으로 보아 일과의 학습, 일을 통한 타인과의 학습 그리고 일 맥락과의 학습의 3수준으로 구분하여 기업가가 일을 통해 배우는 학습 양상과 학습된 특성을 도출하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째로, 기업가는 일을 통해 배우고 가치를 창출한다. 기업가의 혁신적 가치 창출은 타고나기보다는 학습의 결과로 형성되는 특성을 보여준다. 둘째로, 기업가는 함께하기의 중요성을 깨닫고 타인의 의견을 수용하는 유연한 태도를 발달시키며, 타인으로부터 배우는 과정에서 창업의 성과와 기회를 높이게 된다. 마지막으로 기업가가 불확실하고 모호한 상황 속에서도 포기하지 않고 끝까지 인내하며 주도적으로 그 과정을 이겨낼 수 있었던 것은 일의 가치와 일이 주는 의미에 있었다. 이는 기존의 경영학이나 경제학이 성과와 혁신을 위한 학습적 관점에 주요 관심을 가졌던 것과 큰 차이를 나타내 준다. 성과와 혁신을 위해 일 가치맥락적 학습이 중요한 것을 보여준다. 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 국내의 기업가학습 이론과 교육현장에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to present implications to the entrepreneurial learning theory and practice by examining the entrepreneurial learning process with the education of work perspective. This study traced eleven entrepreneurs' start-up processes. It analyzed those processes by examining three dimensions of them: learning with work, learning with others through work, and learning with work contexts. First, entrepreneurs learned and created value through work. The capacity for creating innovative value was not innate, but instead, it was formed as a result of learning. Second, entrepreneurs realized the importance of being together and being flexible in accepting others' opinions. They also realized that entrepreneurship's achievements and opportunities are possible only through collaboration. Lastly, the value and the meaning of work made the entrepreneurs overcome the process proactively without giving up even in uncertain and ambiguous situations. The research found that the context of value is critical for their learning, especially for their performance and innovation. Implications for the entrepreneurial learning theory and practice were discussed based on the findings.
