본 연구는 지식재산서비스업의 경제적 효과에 주목하여 지식재산서비스업이우리나라의 GDP창출 및 고용창출효과, 타산업과의 연관관계 등을 분석한 최초의연구이다. 연구를 위해 2009년 산업연관표 및 2011년 지식재산서비스업 실태조사 자료로부터 산업연관표상에서 지식재산서비스업에 해당하는 분류를 추출하였으며,총 29개 대분류 산업에 대하여 산업연관분석을 실시하였다. 이를 토대로 타 산업대비 지식재산서비스업의 생산유발효과, 부가가치유발효과, 취업유발효과, 전·후방연쇄효과를 비교·분석하였다. 그 결과, 지식재산서비스업은 경제전체의 생산유발효과가 상대적으로 매우 낮은 반면, 부가가치유발효과 및 취업유발효과는 상당히 높은 특성을 보이는 등‘지식집약적 산업’임을 알 수 있었다. 특히 지식재산서비스업은 타 산업에 비해 전방연쇄효과가 상대적으로 큰 반면 후방연쇄효과는 낮은‘수요의존형 산업’임을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
Using the Input-Output in 2009, we study the impact of theintellectual property (IP) service industries on the national economy. Wefocus on the input-output analysis of the production inducement effect,added value inducement effect, job-creating inducement effect, andforward-backward linkage effect. The results are as follows: theproduction inducement effect of IP service industry is quite lower thanother industries while the added value inducement effect and jobcreatingeffect are significantly higher, showing that IP service industryis highly knowledge-intensive.
