Abstract
This article examines the internal relations between Park Jong Hong's studies of Korean philosophy and his participation to Park Jung Hee's totalitarian regime. For Park Jong Hong, Korean philosophy was an alternative for overcoming an aporia of modern western philosophy which has been divided into existentialism and epistemology. Based on studies of Korean philosophy, he could found his own nationalism which denied the priciples of modern politics which has in its core legal and rational way of governing. Although his participating to totalitarian government has been blamed for collaboration, his political action was not a simple collaboration but a result of his philosophical deliberation. This sort of philosophical inquiry and political action could be named as 'philosophy of overcoming modernity' and 'politics of anti-modernity.'
