인권침해에서 벗어나는 길에서 인권 실천을 만나다: 정신질환자 인권이 침해되는 경험에 기반한 정신장애인의 인권실천의 의미

본 연구는 현상학적 연구로 정신장애인의 인권침해 경험을 바탕으로 인권 실천으로 나아가는 경험을 포괄적이고 심층적으로 파악하고 그에 따른 간호중재를 개발하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 실시되었다. 자료 수집은 2022년 1월 1일부터 9월 30일까지 정신장애인 3명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 내러티브 연구방법을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 자료 분석에서 기본적인 상호작용, 연속성, 상황의 삼차원적 탐구공간방식이 도출되었다: 차별로 인한 위축, 낙인에 대처하기 위한 대처방식. 연구대상자는 정신장애인으로서의 차별 경험을 되돌아보고, 인권을 옹호하는 방법을 고민하며, 다른 사람들을 위한 인권 옹호자가 되는 과정을 경험하였다. 또한 연구대상자는 인권실천의 경험을 통해 자신의 삶을 새롭게 만들게 되었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 정신건강 서비스 영역에서 경험할 수 있는 정신장애인의 인권침해 사례를 분석하여 인권침해를 예방하는 지침을 개발하는 것이 필요하다.
Abstract
This phenomenological study was done to identify comprehensively and in depth the experience of human rights practice based on the experience of human rights violations in persons with psychiatric disabilities. Data were collected from January 1 to September 30, 2022 with 3 persons who had psychiatric disabilities. Data were analyzed using narrative inquiry methodology. Three fundamental interaction, continuity, situation were derived from data analysis: Feeling diminished by discrimination and coping mechanisms for dealing with stigma. Reflecting on experiences of discrimination as a person with a mental illness, contemplating methods of human rights advocacy, and transforming into an advocate for others. Creating a new life through the experience of human rights practice. It is necessary to analyze cases of human rights violations experienced by individuals with mental disorders in the mental health services field and develop guidelines for prevention.
