초록
The present study investigated dyed talc powder by using natural tannin and mordant. Cosmetic make-up powder talc was modified with tannin and metal soap to produce a functional dyed powder. Fe, Mg, Al, Cu, Zn, and Ca metallic ions were chosen for mordanting because they are the major metal cations. The experiments to prepare the dyed talc powder were conducted by applying different types of mordant in simultaneous mordanting process. The results showed that tannin could be linked to the talc powder through coordination with the mordants. It was observed that mordant type affected the CIE L*a*b* and color depth of the powder. The color difference △E values were found to increase with inclusion of the metal ions in the mordant in the following order: Ca < Zn < Mg < Al < Cu < Fe. In conclusion, the ferric ion mordant produced the highest color darkness. The lightness of the metal soap coated powder was enhanced with increases in metal soap loading.
