Abstract
Our study aimed to investigate the impact of consistent therapeutic nail care on the morphological properties of damaged nail plates. Ten adult women with no nail deformation or contraction and free from orthopedic or dermatological diseases participated in the study. These participants appear to have healthy nails. How is the study representative of what the investigators want to demonstrate? Each participant received intensive nail care treatments once a week for four weeks. To evaluate morphological changes, we measured the length and the width of the nail plates before and after the treatments. Statistical analysis revealed a significant increase in the length and the width of nail plates at a significance level of p < 0.05. The p values obtained from the analyses of the length and the width of the nail plates should be mentioned here to verify its significance. These findings suggest that consistent therapeutic nail care promotes the growth and the health of damaged nails. Our study highlights the potential of nail care as an effective intervention in the repair of damaged nails.
