A Study on the Effective Communicative Language Teaching in the University English Classes

본 연구의 목적은 한국 대학의 영어회화 수업에서 의사소통 중심 영어 수업이 얼마나 적용되고 있고 어떠한 형태로 시행되고 있는지를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 한국 4년제 대학에 재학중인 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였고, 설문결과를 바탕으로 학생들의 흥미와 동기 유발을 위한 노력 정도, 정확성과 유창성의 균형, 의사소통 기회의 최대화, 진정성 있는 자료 사용, 그룹활동, 학생중심 수업, 문화와의 연계, 4기능 통합 등이 얼마나 잘 적용되고 있는지, 이 중 무엇이 잘 적용되고 있으며, 상대적으로 무엇이 잘 적용되지 않고 있는지를 알아보았다. 연구결과는 기능 통합, 그룹활동, 정확성과 유창성의 균형이 가장 잘 되고 있는 반면, 진정성 있는 자료 사용이 가장 잘 적용되지 않고 있다는 것을 보여준다.
