How to Assess L2 English Writings from L2 English Teachers' Perspective

The purpose of this paper is to renew a course syllabus of English Writing For Communication, by studying and reflecting on the effects of the English writing course on their students in that this course was instructed in English in 2014 by both non-native English teacher for two hours and native English teacher for one hour a week in the process writing approach. The non-native English teacher provided a total frame of the writing process, while the native English teacher took a tutor role for their students. These students, senior English majors, submitted four types of papers by way of peer evaluation and then their papers were returned with analytic scoring results including the two teachers' verbal feedback. For a new model what they plan to change is have students create a checklist for peer feedback and a new analytic scoring for the four papers in order to activate students' oral communication and provide an in-class writing test at the end of the course.
