With an emergence of extensive reading in EFL contexts, research regarding the possible potentials of English libraries based on the framework of extensive reading is hard to find. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to explore the possible potentials of English libraries run by one of the local universities in Korea. One of the interesting aspects of this study is that the data were collected from the parents who sent their children to the English library. Since Korean parents are considered to be important stakeholders who have strong voices toward the English education system in Korea, the researcher decided to hear the parents' voices toward English libraries. The data were collected from 58 parents. According to the data analysis, the parents perceive English libraries as useful and effective alternatives to the private English education in Korea. Also, those parents seemed to believe that their children can benefit greatly from reading English-language written books.
