The main objective of this article is to expound the idiosyncratic distribution of implicit arguments in the V+NP1+NP2 frame in pursuit of uncovering their seemingly unpredictable syntactic patterns. By discussing disadvantages of the syntactic analysis where implicit arguments are treated as entailed semantic arguments via some functional heads, an alternative proposal is suggested in which verbs in question are in fact not ditransitive but transitive verbs, which then indicates that the V+NP1+NP2 frame is an alleged double object form. It provides a systematic account for implicit arguments without resorting to functional heads. It may also serve as additional empirical evidence for the structural Case regularization.
