공유경제, 어떻게 바라보고 있나: 2013∼2019년 한국 공유경제 연구동향 분석과 제언

초록

공유경제가 빠르게 넓어지고 커지고 깊어지고 있다. 인간과 사회에 미치는 영향도 마찬가지다. 공유경제를 바라보는 방향과 생각도 달라지고 있다. 한국사회가 바람직한 공유경제 사회로 정착하기 위해서는 공유경제에 대한 종합적이고 체계적인 이론적 논의와 실증적 분석이 요구되는 시점이라 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 공유경제에 대한 학계의 연구동향을 살펴봄으로써 연구 성과를 종합 정리하고 후속 연구 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 2013년부터 2019년까지 한국연구재단의 등재(후보) 학술지에 게재된 공유경제 연구논문 174편을 대상으로 분석한다. 분석결과를 정리해보면, 첫째, 공유경제 개념이 영리 추구보다 일시적 접근, 사회적 가치 추구 등의 요소로 구성되는 경향을 보인다. 둘째, 연구 영역이 공유경제 이용이나 공유경제의 사회적 과제에 집중되어 있다. 셋째, 연구의 중점이 법과 규제 분야에 주로 두어지면서 법학적 관점의 연구가 활발히 수행된 반면에 사회학적 관점의 연구는 미진하다. 넷째, 양적분석이 서구 학계보다 상대적으로 부족하며, 다섯째, 서비스 제공자인 노동자보다 서비스 소비자와 사업자에 대한 연구에 치중하고 있다. 앞으로 공유경제 개념의 재구성, 지역 차원에서의 공유경제 연구, 사회학적 연구와 문화사회학적 관점의 분석, 공유경제 데이터 축적, 삼자적(triadic) 관점에서 접근 등이 요구된다.

Abstract

The sharing economy is rapidly expanding and deepening. The same is true of its impact on individuals and society. Currently, the perspectives and thoughts on the sharing economy are shifting. In order for Korean society to become a mature sharing economy society, now is the time for comprehensive and systematic theoretical discussions and empirical analysis on the sharing economy. Therefore, this study aims to provide an overview of current literature and suggest a future direction through reviewing the body of academic research on the sharing economy. To that end, research on the sharing economy by Korea’s academic community will be analyzed from 174 articles from 2013 to 2019, all of which were published in the journals of the Korea Research Foundation. To summarize the analysis results, first, the concept of a sharing economy tends to be composed of components such as temporary approaches and social value seeking rather than profit-seeking. Second, the area of research is concentrated on the use of the sharing economy or social tasks associated with the sharing economy. Third, while research from the legal point of view has been actively carried out as the top interests of research have been placed in the field of law and regulation, research from the sociological point of view is insufficient. Fourth, quantitative analysis is relatively lacking compared to Western academia, and fifth, there has been more focus on consumers and operators of services rather than workers who are the service providers. Moving forward, efforts to reconstruct the concept of the sharing economy, research on the sharing economy on a regional level, analysis of sociological research and cultural sociological perspectives, accumulation of sharing economy data, and approaches from a triadic perspective will be required.
