Abstract

This article deals with three questions about the Soswaewonsasil瀟灑園事實. First, what is the nature of this book specifically? I suggest that this is a book in the form of a Sasil事實 dealing with the cultural space of the Soswaewon瀟灑園. Second, does the second edited edition Soswaewonsasil have a complete editing system? I will show that this book has an incomplete editing system. The first and second editions of this book did not connect smoothly. The title and legend in the first edition do not reflect the additions made in the new manuscript. Text, absent from the table of contents, is inserted in the middle of the book. Third, is this book closed, or is it an open book? Understanding the accumulation of facts about the Soswaewon, as open to all the cultural and artistic achievements surrounding the Soswaewon. By understanding it as an open book, the potential of a book beyond its current form is shown. Two academic works are called upon in the conclusion of these three discussions. First, the compilation of a fully edited Soswaewonsasil. Second, is a compilation that has collected 20th century cultural and artistic achievements in reference to the Soswaewon since 1903. This can be called the New-Soswaewonsasil. This book is one of the means to overcome the shortage of primary data for the Soswaewon. It will also play a role in inducing future discourse on the Soswaewon.
