본 연구는 재미교포 신학자 앤 조에 의해, 포스트식민주의 여성주의의 관점으로 전개된 정기독론을 탐구한 후 그녀가 제안한 정 개념이 한국교회 여성에게 얼마나 유용한 도구가 될 수 있을지를 삼위일체론적으로 점검해 본다. I장,정이란 무엇인가에서는 한국의 문화 속에서 정이 무엇인지를 탐구한다. 이 장에서는 여러 문화와 국가에서 정과 비슷한 개념이 있긴 하지만, 한국문화에서나온 정은 관계론적 성격이 매우 강하다는 것을 강조한다. 2장에서 앤 조는 멜라니 클라인에게 영향을 받은 이재훈의 주장대로, 정은 한의 내적인 역동성 속에서 파악되어야 한다고 보고, 한이 부정적으로 발전하면 후한으로, 긍정적으로발전하면 정이 된다는 역동성을 설명한다. 그런 다음, 앤 조가 사용하는 개념적인 도구들과 정치적인 입장을 소개한다. 호미 바바의 혼종성, 모방, 틈새성과 줄리아 크리스테바의 아브젝시옹(비체화) /아브젝트(비체)와 가야트리 스피박의전략적 본질주의가 그것이다. 다음으로, 앤 조의 정기독론을 기술하는데 앤 조는 십자가가 한/아브젝트(비체)뿐만 아니라, 정/사랑을 계시하는 곳이라고 주장한다. 마지막으로, 3장에서는, 그녀의 정기독론을 한국 여성신학적 관점에서 평가하고, 그녀가 성령론을 결핍하고 있다는 것을 보여준다. 아울러, 한국교회 여성의 정이 많은 삶을 재평가하고, 그들의 행복과 복지를 지지하기 위해서는 그녀의 기독론이 삼위일체적으로 확장되어야 한다고 제안한다.
Abstract
This study engages J e o n g Christology by Wonhee Anne Joh, a K o r e a n-American feminist theologian from a postcolonial perspective and then critically examine how her concept of j e o n g could be a good tool for Korean church women from a Korean feminist trinitarian perspective. Chapter I, what is j e o n g, explores various meanings of jeong in Korean culture. It emphasizes that jeong is a very particular concept of Korean culture. Chapter I I, Joh’s Jeong Christology, describes her understanding of j e o n g based on the dynamic of han in relation with wonhan and jeong, proposed by Jae Hoon Lee which is strongly influenced by Melanie Klein. It then analyzes her concepts using tools such as Homi Bhabha’s hybridity,mimicry, and inter-stitial space and Julia Kristeva’s abjection/abject. Next, it presents Gayatri C. Spivak’s strategic essentialism. Further,it explores Joh’s J e o n g Christology. It, then, describes that Joh suggests that the cross means a space which reveals j e o n g/love as well as h a n/abject. Chapter I I I, this study evaluates her J e o n g Christology from a Korean feminist theological perspective and it points out that Joh lacks Pneumatology. To have pneumatological dynamics, it suggests that she should extend her Christology to the trinitarian theology and then it can contribute to revaluing Korean church women’s jeongful life and supporting their flourishing.
