‘함께-되기’의 존재 이해와 탈인간중심주의 신학담론으로서 ‘객체-지향의 생태신학’ 탐구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the possibility of eco- logical theology that reflects Object-oriented Ontology and to seek alternatives to the current catastrophic crisis. In this context, this elab- orates the relationship of interpenetration that individuals weave be- yond the limits of human knowledge at the microscopic and macro- scopic levels, the potential of human and non-human boundaries, that is, the relationship between (human) subject and (non-human) object, expanding the ontological horizon of ecological theology, and reconstruct the framework of ecological theology. Object-ori- ented Ontology was systematized by Graham Harman on the basis of Bruno Latour's Actor Network Theory, and has a philosophical premise that existence cannot be reduced by human knowledge. Ecological theology, which applies this Object-oriented perspective, challenges the limited opinion of the object seen from the sub- ject-centered viewpoint, evokes the thought of beings that can not be said by the human knowledge formation, and opens the thought of the depth of the creation world. Thus, the 21st century Object-ori- ented ecological theology focuses on the objectified nature and the agency created by the emergence and vitality of matter, and provides an opportunity for theological perspective, to look at the depth of the creation through the expansion of ontological scopes that include all objects of creation, such as non-human beings and all creatures. The Object-oriented ecological theology thereby will be able to over- come the frame of subject-centered dichotomous thinking beyond the fixed arrangement of human subjects and other objects, and lay the foundation for an understanding of the life system of ‘becoming-with’ and thus concrete practice of ‘live-with-together.’
