본 연구에서는 문화정책적인 층위에서 음악도시가 형성되는 과정을 살피고 해외와 국내 음악도시 사례 분석을 통해 성과와 한계에 대해 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 문화도시의 정책의 개념과 과정, 한계들을 분석하고 음악도시의 구성을 위한 조건들을 고찰하여, 향후 정책적 함의를 도출하였다. 첫째, 음악도시의 지속가능성은 시민들의 삶의 양식의 행복과 만족에서 비롯된다. 둘째, 도시의 미적 시각성이 분명하고, 도시의 문화적 취향이 다양해져야 한다. 셋째, 음악도시는 생태적 쾌적함을 지속해야 한다. 본 연구는 문화정책의 학술과 현장에서 음악도시 형성을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the cultural policy behind the construction of a music city and to analyze similar case studies in Korea and abroad to identify achievements and limitations. To this end, this study analyzes the concept, process, and limitations of cultural city policy, considers the best conditions for a music city’s formation, and derives future policy implications. Firstly, a music city’s sustainability comes from a citizens’ sense of happiness and satisfaction in their way of life. Secondly, a city’s aesthetic visuals should be clear, and its cultural tastes should become diverse. Thirdly, a music city should continue to be ecologically pleasant. This study can be used as a basic material for music city formation for the academic work of cultural policy as well as in the field.
