초․중등교사의 과학연수 참여도와 연수 프로그램 선호도 분석

서울 지역 초․중등학교 교사 1,416명을 대상으로 과학연수 참여 실태 및 연수 프로그램 선호도를 조사하였다. 조사한 자료의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들의 과학연수 참여도는 매우 저조한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 초등교사가 중등교사에 비해과학연수의 참여도가 보다 낮았으며, 연수 참여도는 배경 변인에 따라 다소 차이가 있는 것으로나타났다. 둘째, 과학연수 프로그램 선호도는 대체로 보통 이상이었으며, 특히 과학교수-학습방법과 개별 피드백 제공이 선호도가 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 연수 프로그램 선호도는 초등교사가 중등교사보다 전반적으로 높았으며, 배경 변인에 따라 선호하는 연수 프로그램에 다소 차이가 있는것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 교사들의 과학연수 참여 경험은 연수프로그램을 선호하는 것과는 대체로무관한 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study aimed to look into teachers' participations and preferences in training programs for science education, and investigate correlations among them. For this study, the survey was carried out on 1416 teachers. The results of this study are as follows: Teachers' participation, especially those of elementary school teachers', in training programs for science education remains very low. And the female elementary school teachers and older middle school teachers more rarely attend training programs for science education. Teachers give preferences to training programs about instructional strategies of science education and effective ways to provide individual feedbacks in science class. And in some categories, teachers show different preferences for training programs according to their background variables. There was no correlation between participations and preferences in training programs for science education. Consequently, it is needed to develop and manage diverse and effective training programs in consideration of current teachers' participations and preferences in training programs for science education.
