한국판 아동청소년용 자기개념 명확성 척도의 타당화

Construction and Validation of Self-Concept Clarity Scale for Children and Adolescent in Korea

초록

이 연구에서는 Campbell 등(1996)이 개발한 자기개념 명확성 척도를 우리나라 아동이 이해할 수 있도록 번역하고 전국의 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 611명을 대상으로 아동청소년용 자기개념 명확성 척도 를 타당화 하였다. 이 연구의 결과와 의의를 기술하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동청소년용 자기개념 명확 성 척도의 요인구조를 확인하기 위해 원판인 Campbell 등(1996)의 척도에서 사용한 주축 요인추출을 이용한 직접 오블리민 사각회전 방법(Principal axis factoring with direct quartimin oblimin rotation)을 적용한 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 원판인 Campbell 등(1996)이 보고한 요인구조와 동일한 구조가 도출되었고, 회전된 요인행렬의 최종문항들의 요인부하량도 양호하였다. 이 어서 탐색한 요인구조의 적합성을 확인하기 위해 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 척도의 요인구조가 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동청소년용 자기개념 명확성 척도의 5개월 간격의 검사-재검사 신뢰 도를 확인한 결과 양호하였고 이어서 문항의 내적 합치도를 검토한 결과 신뢰도도 역시 양호하였다. 셋째, 아동청소년용 자기개념 명확성 척도와 다른 타당도 지표와의 상관을 검토한 결과 타당도 지표와 의 상관이 대부분 양호하여 척도의 구성타당도 및 수렴타당도가 확인되었다. 이 연구는 우리나라에서 성인과 대학생을 대상으로 번안된 자기개념 명확성 척도의 문항을 아동청소년용으로 타당화하여 그 한계점을 보완하고 심리적 속성을 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 그리고 아동기와 청소년기의 다양한 심리장애와 정신 건강을 진단하고 자기개념 관련 인지치료 프로그램을 통한 치료적 개입의 효과를 측 정할 수 있는 검증된 검사 도구를 개발했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 이 연구가 가지는 제한 점 및 추후 연구 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to validate the Korean Children and Adolescent version of the Self-concept clarity Scale. The Self-concept clarity Scale, which was developed by Campbell et al(1996), was translated to make it appropriate and understandable for children, and 611 grades 4 to 6 Korean students took the exam to test the reliability and validity of this scale. The result and significance of this study are as follows: First, exploratory factor analysis, which is used in the principal axis factoring with direct oblimin rotation method, reveals that the factor structure between the original version and this scale is similar. Moreover, a confirmatory factor analysis shows that the factor structure is appropriate. Second, the results of an internal consistency reliability and a 5 month exam and reexamination are satisfactory. According to this result, research model which is one factors model was adopted as the final model of the study, taking into account the conceptual definition of the original assumption of Campbell et al(1996). Third, the correlation among indicators of validities reveals that the construct validity and convergent validity of the Self-concept clarity Scale are satisfactory. The significance of this study is developing a reliable psychological inspection tool for diagnosing mental disorders and diagnosing mental health and measuring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions as well as revising and complementing the limitation of the Self-concept clarity Scale, which has been translated for Korean children and adolescent, and finding its psychological properties. Lastly, this study discusses the limitation and direction of future research.
