초록
본고의 목적은 Dewey가 개념화한 반성적 사고에 기초하여 반성적 교사가 지녀야 할 특질들을밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 Dewey의 반성적 사고 개념과 과정적 특징을 분석하여 거기에 내재된하위요소들을 드러내고, 그 하위요소들로부터 교사가 지녀야 할 세부적인 능력요소들을 추출함으로써 반성적 교사의 특질을 규명하고자 하였다. 그 결과 풍부한 경험과 지식, 지성적 습관, 연계적 사고 능력과 태도, 목표 지향적 사고 능력, 교육에 대한 실험적 탐구 정신, 나선형적 성장을지향하는 사고 능력, 개방성ㆍ전심성ㆍ책임성, 통합적 사고 능력과 의사소통 및 협동적 태도인민주적 소양 등이 반성적 교사의 주요한 특질로 규명되었다. 이러한 특질을 갖춘 교사를 양성하기 위해서는 현재의 전달자 및 기능인을 양성하는 교사교육으로부터 반성적 교사를 기르기 위한반성적 교사교육으로 교사교육의 방향을 시급히 전환하지 않으면 안 된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to examine the characteristics of reflective teacher based on Dewey's concept of reflective thinking. For this purpose, at first I looked into minutely Dewey's concept of reflctive thinking and its process or stage, and then abstracted the various characteristics of reflctive thinking. Lastly, I analogized the characteristics of reflective teacher from Dewey's concept of reflctive thinking. The characteristics of reflective teacher analogized out of Dewey's concept of reflctive thinking are as follows: various experience and knowledge, intelligent habit, continuous and relational thinking, goal-oriented thinking, an inquiring mind, spiralling thinking, open-minednessㆍwholeheartednessㆍintellectual responsibility, comprehensive and unifying thinking and democratic equipment such as communication and cooperation. In conclusion, we have to switch teacher education from transmitter and technician training oriented education to reflective teacher education to bring up teachers possessing these reflective characteristics.
