교과연계 스토리텔링 활용 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 진로인식에 미치는 영향

Abstract

This study aims to develop career education programs based on storytelling using materials suitable for 4th grade elementary students and to verify the effect of these developed programs to the career awareness of elementary students. To this end, we identified the career education related units from the curriculum of the first semester of the 4th grade. Among the identified units, we selected those units that can be used for storytelling and developed the storytelling career programs for 10 sessions(24 times). In order to verify the effectiveness of the developed storytelling career programs, we used the testing tool developed by the career education center of Korea Employment Information Service to test the career awareness of students among two classes of 4th grade students at P elementary school in Seoul before and after the programs were administered. The results of this study are as follows. Examining the total score of career awareness, the career programs that we developed showed a significant effect on career awareness (***p<0.001). More specifically, the subcategories of Self-understanding (***p<0.001), awareness of occupational world (**p<0.01) and career attitudes (***p<0.001) all showed a statistically significant difference in their scores. Our study suggests that the career programs that we developed using storytelling can be used as basic materials to further develop diverse programs that aim to enhance the career awareness of elementary students.
