이어령 소설 시학의 원천을 찾아서 ― 이상 문학의 알레고리 분석을 중심으로 ―

Abstract

This paper seeks to reveal the poetic perspective of critic Lee O-ryeong, focusing on how he understood and read literary works. From this perspective, Lee O-ryeong's criticism, which was newly formed and developed after the war, is the first full-fledged case of attempting an analytical reading and evaluation of Korean literary criticism by focusing on the linguistic structure of literary works in a historicist and realist criticism. This criticism of Lee O-ryeong needs to be newly studied in connection with the new criticism trend of the time. However, we should not overlook the fact that Lee O-ryeong's criticism was not simply an acceptance of foreign trends, but a product of a deep literary obsession with Lee Sang, who was a writer during the Japanese colonial period. Only by using Lee O-ryeong's criticism as a foundation, post-war Korean criticism was able to pioneer the field of systematic and precise criticism of works and evaluation of value based on it. In order to clarify the meaning of Lee O-ryeong's poetics, this paper began with an examination of realist criticism during the Japanese colonial period and attempted to discuss in-depth Lee O-ryeong's analytical criticism centered on the study of Lee Sang's novels.
