초록
The novel is saturated with various paintings of nature and descriptions of natural phenomena. But all these elements appear in the text of the novel only when the author needs to more accurately and psychologically convey experience to the hero or characterize a particular historical event. We can state that the pictures of nature in the novel "War and Peace" are important not only in and of themselves, but as a means of psychological characterization of heroes, events, and the general atmosphere of life. Paintings of nature depict the turning points in the life of the heroes - Andrew, Pierre, Natasha, Petit Rostov - and not only life, but also moments on the border of life and death. In addition, the most important historical events also unfold through the backdrop of Russian landscapes, which gives the battle scenes a scale and significance. Nature is not just a decoration or a background of events, but also reflects the experiences of heroes and symbolizes some deep foundations common to all Russian people, the true heroes of Tolstoy. Nature in the novel is not only landscapes and descriptions of natural phenomena; nature is a philosophical essence, the basis of life. It is this foundation that brings all the true heroes of Tolstoy to each other. In Tolstoy's opinion, it is precisely this belonging of Russian people to a single, natural, "swarm" life that allows one to win the war. Tolstoy, as a result of his historical observations and reflections, comes to the conclusion that history also develops according to natural laws, that it is spontaneous.
