장애인 운동 참여 경험에 관한 질적 연구: 사회학적 관점을 중심으로

이 연구는 중증ㆍ경증 장애인들의 체육활동 참여 경험을 통해 체육활동 참여 동기와 참여과정에서의 어려움 등을 알아보고자 시도된 연구이다.이를 위해 장애를 가진 5인의 참여자를 선정하여 심층면담을 실시하였으며 귀납적 분석법을 실시하였다.연구결과는 첫째,체육활동 참여 동기는 건강 회복과 미디어가 재현하는 ‘운동하는 사람처럼 되기’, 둘째,체육활동 참여 과정에서 겪는 어려움은 장애인 체육 활동 인프라 부족과 체육시설 안에서의 낯선 출입자 되기, 셋째, ‘그럼에도 불구하고’ 장애인이 체육활동을 하는 이유는 운동을 통한 타인으로부터의 인정과 이상적인 몸과 지금 내몸사이의 타협점 찾기가 도출되었다.결론적으로 장애인들의 체육활동 참여는 자기 신체의 자발적 통제이자 생존문제와의 연결이기 때문에 사회구조적 문제가 있음에도 불구하고 반드시 지속되어야 하는 활동임을 알수있었다.

Abstract

This study was attempted to find out the motivation to participate in sports activities and difficulties in the process through the experience of participating in sports activities of people with severe and mild disabilities. To this end, five participants with disabilities were selected, in-depth interviews were conducted, and inductive analysis was conducted. The study found that first, the beginning of participation in sports activities is "being like an athlete" reproduced by health recovery and the media, second, the lack of physical activity infrastructure for the disabled and unfamiliar visitors in sports facilities. In conclusion, it was found that participation in sports activities by the disabled was a must-continue activity despite social structural problems because it was a voluntary control of their body and a connection to survival problems.
