OECD PISA 수학 소양 평가의 특징 및 문항 특성 분석

초록

본 연구에서는 현재까지의 PISA 관련 국내외 문헌을 토대로 OECD PISA의 전반적인 특징과 변화 방향을 수학 소양 평가를 중심으로 분석, 정리하였다. 첫째, 문헌 연구를 토대로 PISA의 특징을 평가 주기, 평가 영역, 평가 방식, 문항 제시 방식, 교육맥락변인,국제 컴소시엄 구성, 주기별로 적용된 우리나라 교육과정의 일곱 가지로 구분하여 정리하였다. 둘째, 수학이 주영역이었던 PISA 2003과 PISA 2012에서의 수학 소양의 정의와 평가틀에 대해 알아보았다. 셋째, PISA 2012 수학 소양 평가 문항의 특징을 공개문항을 중심으로 알아보았다. 최근 우리나라를 비롯한 세계 각국에서 이루어지고 있는 역량 중심 교육과정 개편의 근간에는 OECD DeSeCo Project가 있으며, OECD에서 PISA를 통해 평가하고자 한 것도 학생들이 삶을 살아가는 데 필요한 보다 넓은 범주의 역량이다. PISA의 변화 방향이 전세계적으로 중요시되는 역량을 개발하고 평가하는 것이라 볼 때, PISA에서의 주요 변화를 인지하고 이를 우리 교육의 방향 수립에 적용할 필요가 있을 것이다.

Abstract

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) launched the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) in 1997. In this study, publications related to PISA are reviewed in order to discover some of the characteristics of PISA. The contribution of this paper can be summarized as follows: first, the seven characteristics of PISA are summarized; i.e., the assessment cycle, domain, assessment design, interface design, educational contexts, the international consortium of PISA, and the Korean National Curriculum according to the PISA cycles. Second, the definition of the mathematical literacy and framework for PISA 2003 & 2012 are discussed. Third, using open items, the characteristics of PISA 2012's mathematics items are reviewed. The OECD DeSeCo Project is at the heart of the competency-based curriculum, curricula which are characteristic of many countries including the Republic of Korea. One of the main goals of a competency-based curriculum is to develop and evaluate a student’s ability to live his/her life in a broader sense. From this point of view, it is necessary to adopt and apply those ideas to the plans and directions of Korean education.
