最近韩国儒学研究的主要动向

Abstract

The essay is focused upon arranging and evaluating the important achievements of Confucianism which were studied from Nov. 2005 to Oct. 2007 in Korea. Our object of investigation was Korean theses established in authentic expert journals, which were selected by a committee of Confucian Study Evaluation in the Confucian Culture Institute of Sungkyunkwan University. In Korea, recently for two years, the important achievements of Confucianism have characteristics as follows: Firstly, the studies of "Korean Wave" are newly appearing, which are closely connected with the thought of Confucianism. Recently, Korean scholars are interested in the several aspects of Korean culture and more actively discuss them from the standpoint of Confucianism. Secondly, Korean scholars have their more interest in the Korean Confucianism of the later Yi dynasty. There is a relative increase on the studies of the Confucianism of the later Yi dynasty, such as the Controversy of Ho School and Lak School, the Controversy of Mind-doctrine, etc. Thirdly, the studies of such Korean scholars as Lee Ik, Jeong Yak-yong, Choi Hanki, etc. are predominant in the field of Korean Practical Science. From the point of view of Confucianism, especially, some scholars have the more precise study of Lee Je-ma who was the most famous doctor in Yi dynasty. Consequently, it is possible to say that, on the foundation of accumulated academic studies, recently, there are more precise studies about a new stream of Korea culture and about such scholars or schools as have been unactively studied before.
