공간구문론으로 본 ‘흰여울문화마을’ 관광경로와 관광시설 위치의 적정성 연구
A Study on the Feasibility of Huinnyeoul Culture Village Tourist Route & Facility Location based on Space Syntax Analysis

The goal of this study is to analyze problems of the existing tourist route & facility location in Huinnyeoul Culture Village, and suggest a new complementary way of tourism based on Space Syntax analysis. Results showed that the existing tourist route & facility location have been set inappropriate which cause serious problems such as; the limited accessibility & overcrowding tourists, a violation of residents privacy, loud noise by tourists, and so on. The present study suggests two alternative ways to overcome the existing problems based on the four indexes of Space Syntax (i.e, connectivity, control, integration, and intelligibility). The first alternative way focuses on the concentration of tourist circulation for excellent accessibility and visibility with high value of connectivity and control. The second emphasizes the centrality of street space for efficient use of tourist route & facility location with high value of integration and intelligibility.
