학교의 사회자본에 관한 고찰: 측정도구 활용 문제를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 한국 사회의 학교교육 현실을 사회자본의 관점에서 조망하기 위한 취지에서 학교의 사회자본에 관한 구체적인 측정 문제를 발견하고 이를 해결하기 위한 방안과 관련된 시사점을 고찰하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 먼저, 사회자본의 이론적 고찰을 통해 학교의 사회자본은 핵심적인 구성지표로써 관계적 차원(신뢰와 규범), 구조적 차원(연결망), 인지적 차원(규범)으로 나뉘어 서로 유기적인 관계를 형성하며 기능할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 학교의 사회자본을 측정하기 위한 분석틀을 사회자본의 구성요건(관계적, 구조적, 인지적 차원)과 적용범주(학교 조직 내적 수준․외적 수준)를 모두 포괄하는 종합적인 성격의 것으로 구성하여 제시하였다. 또한 학교의 사회자본에 관한 영역별 구체적 측정도구를 제시하였다. 그러나 무엇보다 본 연구가 보다 적절히 완성되기 위해서는 한국 사회의 학교교육 현실과 관련된 엄밀하고 광범위한 실증적인 자료에 근거한 구체적인 논의가 향후 전개되어야 한다는 점이 연구의 한계점으로 남았다.

Abstract

This study mainly examines tasks related to understanding social capital in school and developing specific measuring tools. As a result of the study, primarily, it turned out that ,through a theoretic examination in social capital, social capital in school can be divided into a relational category(trust and regulation), a structural category(network), and a cognitive category(sharing vision and value) as core composite indexes, which are organically connected to each other and functioning. Therefore, in this study, the analysis structure to measure social capital in school is presented as a synthetical one that includes necessary requisites (relational, structural, and cognitive categories) and application categories(personal level, organizational level). Also, specific measuring tools(questions) are shown according to categories of social capital in school. However, above all, to make the study complete it still remains an assignment to develop ways for specific discussion based on more exact and comprehensive data which is related to the reality of school education in korea.
