상급종합병원에서의 자원봉사 만족도와 지속 의지 연구

의료 기술의 발달, 인구 고령화와 질환 양상의 변화는 상급종합병원에 대한 의료 수요를증가시키고 있으며, 병원의 원활한 운영을 위한 자원봉사활동의 중요성이 점차 부각 되고있다. 하지만 상급종합병원에서 활동하는 자원봉사자의 동기와 행위 양태, 그리고 자원봉사 만족도와 지속 의지의 종합적 맥락을 살피는 연구는 찾아보기 어렵다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 상급종합병원의 자원봉사자를 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 봉사활동 참여에필요한 내재적, 외재적 동기가 모두 발견되었고, 특정 역할 봉사에서 대상과 형성한 연대감은 자원봉사 지속성에 영향을 주었다. 또한, 감정적 보상과 개인적 성장은 봉사 지속 의지에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 자원봉사 만족도와 지속 의지에 영향을 맺는 상황을 분석하여 상급종합병원의 효율성을 높이는 방향을 제시하고 자원봉사의 지속가능성 유지에 필요한 시사점을 제공했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The advancement of medical technology, coupled with population aging and changes in disease patterns, has increased the demand for medical services at tertiary hospitals, highlighting the growing importance of volunteer activities that support patient care and operational efficiency. However, there is a scarcity of research examining the motivations, behaviors, satisfaction, and retention intentions of volunteers in these hospitals. To address this gap, this study conducted in-depth interviews with volunteers at a tertiary hospital. While intrinsic and extrinsic motivations nececessary for volunteering were both identified, the sense of solidarity the sense of solidarity formed with the beneficiaries in specific volunteer roles influenced the persistence of volunteering. Moreover, emotional rewards and personal growth were found to enhance the willingness to continue volunteering. This study is significant in that it analyzes the factors affecting volunteer satisfaction and retention intentions, thereby suggesting ways to improve the efficiency of tertiary hospitals.
