본 연구는 전 세계에 보편적으로 분포되어 있으면서, 각각의 문화적 특성을 반영하여 독자성을 지닌 신데렐라 유형의 동화를 활용하여 다문화 수업 방법을 구안하였다. 학생들에게 익숙하고 전형적인 이야기 패턴을 지닌 신데렐라 동화를 활용함으로써 아동들의 흥미와 동기를 유발하고, 다소 관념적인 다문화 교육을 구체적으로 실천할 수 있다. 신데렐라 유형의 동화가 구조적으로 유사함에 착안하여 ‘구조 이해하기’전략 중 ‘유형적 이야기’, ‘이야기 그림’ 방법을 활용하여 수업을 구상하였다. 수업의 결과로 학생들은 신데렐라 동화 구조를 가진, 문화적 특성을 반영한 이야기를 창작할 수 있고, 다문화적 태도를 함양할 수 있게 될 것이다. 본 연구에서 제시한 수업의 과정은 예시적 성격을 지니며, 유형화 된 동화를 활용한 다문화 수업 방안을 제시했다는 데 그 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The aims of this study was to develop the teaching method for multicultural education using Cinderella. Cinderella type fairy tale prevail around the world and also has specificity. We can see the diversity of culture through the Cinderella types. In elementary school, younger students can accept this stereo type of fairy tale more easily than other creative fairy tale. And it is difficult to understand for them about the concept of multi-culture. So we can connect Cinderella fairy tale with multicultural education. This study suggest the teaching method of ‘understanding structure’ with strategy ‘pattern story’ and ‘story drawing’. This teaching method can make the multicultural attitude and anti-bias for younger elementary students.
