조선족 대학생들의 가족기능과 자아존중감, 무력감 간의 관계 연구

초록

본 연구의 목적은 조선족 대학생들의 가족기능과 자아존중감, 무력감 간의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 대상자는 중국 연길에서 거주하는 19—26세 사이의 조선족 대학생 130명으로 자료수집은 2015년 3월부터 4월까지 이루어졌다. 가족기능 자아존중감, 무력감의 정도를 측정하기 위해 APGAR Family function scale, Rosenberg Self-esteem scale, 무력감 척도가 사용되었다. 가족기능에서 경제상태, 용돈에 대한 만족, 건강상태, 현재 아버지와의 동거유무, 현재 어머니와의 동거유무, 음주유무는 유의한 차이를 보이는 변수였다. 자아존중감은 학교생활 만족, 현재 아버지와 별거하는 이유에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 무력감은 연령, 학년, 건강상태, 현재 어머니와의 동거유무에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 가족기능은 자아존중감 및 무력감과 유의한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 가족기능과 학교생활 만족이었다. 건강상태 좋음과 어머니와의 별거, 가족기능이 무력감에 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 부모와 별거하고 있는 조선족 대학생들의 가족기능을 개선시키기 위해 이들 문화에 적합한 중재 프로그램 개발이 필요하리라 본다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among family function, self-esteem, and powerlessness for Korean-Chinese college students. The subjects were 130 Korean-Chinese college students aged 19 to 26 years (M±SD=21.4±1.47) who were living in Yanji, China. Data were collected from March to April, 2015. To measure the level of family function, self-esteem, and powerlessness, APGAR Family function scale, a Rosenberg Self-esteem scale, and a powerlessness scale were used to Korean-Chinese college students. Economic status (t=2.42, p=.017), satisfaction with allowances (F=6.70, p=.002), health status (F=5.03, p=.008), whether or not students were separated from their father (t=3.23, p=.002) and their mother (t=2.48, p=.015) at the time of data collection, and drinking status (t=-2.05, p=.043) were significant variables in the family function. Self-esteem was significantly different by school satisfaction (F=3.62, p=.030) and reasons for separation from father (t=-2.19, p=.032). Powerlessness was significantly different by age (F=4.53, p=.013 ), grade (F=6.30, p=.001), school satisfaction (F=3.10, p=.049), health status (F=5.73, p=.004), and whether or not students were separated from their mother (t=-2.88, p=.005). The results shows that family function was associated with self-esteem and low powerlessness. The predictors of self-esteem were family function and school satisfaction. Good health, separation from the mother, and family function affected in powerlessness. Therefore, culturally appropriate program interventions are needed in order to increase family function for Korean-Chinese college students separated from a parent.
