양성평등의 관점에서 본 한국 여성사

Abstract

This paper is reconfigured korean women's history from the viewpoint of gender equality. We usually think that women in former days didn't have their own way and they lived dependently of the male authority. Moreover, we recognize that such women's history since the dawn of history seems to succeed without any change. But, this kind of patriarchal values are, in fact, of brief duration and nothing but temporary customs. The middle of the Joseon Dynasty in the 16th century, our country was that men and women held almost all of the same status in real society. Then, while entering upon in the late Joseon Dynasty period since the 17th century, men began to keep in custody women more and more. And under Japanese imperialism in the 20th century, a stiff-necked patriarchal system of the late period of Joseon Dynasty combined with Japanese patriarchal system, and then korean women's history was led into a dark age, that was far to seek in history ever held. Thus, a patriarchal system and a view of womanhood that we think recently, it was not taken form until in the late Joseon Dynasty period since the 17th century. For this reason, this manuscript tried to reconfigure korean women's history from the viewpoint of gender equality. Especially, while I used to discuss people's daily life in the 16th century, before a stiff-necked patriarchal system is not firmly established, I have a try to share with a person how we should be to truly live.
