「태극도」 연구의 새로운 탐색 - ‘구「태극도」’의 존재와 의의를 중심으로-

Abstract

As part of a new search for the study of ‘Taijitu,’ this article considered the existence of ‘Old Taijitu’ (‘Yiyoutaijitu’ 易有太極圖) in Liujing Tu and its significance. A variety of issues have been discussed since ‘Taijitu’ was spearheaded by Zhu Xi 朱熹 as the core literature of Lixue 理學. In particular, the issue of the origin of the diagram is one of the key issues of Yixue 易學 during the Song Dynasty. In order to explore the origin of the diagram, consideration should be made on the diagram related to ‘Taijitu’ and the Yixue interrelated Chen Tuan. In this regard, ‘Old Taijitu’ recorded prior to Zhou Dunyi’s ‘Taijitu’ is noted for its Yixue interrelated the school of Chen Tuan - Fan Echang - Liu Mu. The results of this consideration are as follows. The ‘Old Taijitu’ is the result of a new interpretation of the ‘Yiyoutaiji’ 易有太極 chapter in on the Book of Changes in the Song Dynasty, showing some of the Yixue of the Chen Tuan school. Although the accumulation and verification of the research are more necessary, it is highly likely that the ‘Old Taijitu’ was related to Zhou Dunyi’s ‘Taijitu’, which was led by the school of Chen Tuan - Chong Fang 种放 - Mu Xiu 穆修. ‘Old Taijitu’ is an important material in Tushuxue 圖書學 during the Song Dynasty, a design related to ‘Taijitu’ and a reference to the Chen Tuan line of Yixue.
