초등학교 교사를 위한 한국판 구성주의 학습환경운영기술 척도의 타당화

구성주의 인식론은 새로운 지식의 구성 및 창출을 추구함으로써 지식의 양과 질이 급속하게 변화되어가고 있는 현대 사회의 흐름에 보다 부합되는 교육 기저로 수용되고 있다. 이에 초등교사의 구성주의 학습 환경 관리를 지원해줄 수 있는 보다 구체적이고 실제적인 지원의 한 방편으로 객관적인 평가 도구를 제안하고자 본 연구에서는 해외에서 개발, 검증된 구성주의 학습환경운영기술 척도의 한국어 버전을 검증하고자 하였다. 먼저 척도의 원 개발자에게 한국판 척도개발에 대한 승인을 구했고 번역을 거쳐 척도의 한국어 버전을 마련하였다. 이를 경상도 지역의 초등학교에서 근무하는 초등학교 교사들에게 배부하여 최종적으로 255 명의 교사로부터 데이터를 수집하였다. Spss 22.0 및 Mplus 8.1 프로그램을 사용하여 수집된 데이터를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 탐색적 요인 분석을 통해 요인 부하량이 .40 이상인 18 개 항목으로 구성된 4 개 요인 모형을 추출하였다. 각 요인을 ‘소통과 협력적 상호작용’, ‘사고기능발달 지원’, ‘지적관계구성’, ‘교수학습방법’으로 명명하였다. 둘째, 확인적 요인분석 결과 4개 요인 18개 문항으로 구성된 척도 모형은 적합한 양호도를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 한국판 구성주의 학습환경 운영기술 척도는 CLES2와 강한 상관 관계를 보여 양호한 수렴 타당성을 보였다. 넷째, 척도의 내적 일관성 계수는 .93으로 높은 신뢰도를 나타냈다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 한국판 구성주의 학습환경 운영기술 척도는 타당도와 신뢰도가 검증된 양호한 척도라고 결론지을 수 있으며, 한국 초등학교 교사의 구성주의 학습환경 운영에 실질적인 도움이 되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
Constructivism is being accepted as an alternative educational base which is more consistent with the current modern society comparing to the traditional approach to education. It's because the constructive approach to education emphasize self-directed learning and creation of new knowledge. The purpose of this study is to validate the Korean version of the scale for constructivist learning environment management skills which was developed and validated abroad for elementary teachers in South Korea. Upon the approval from the original developer followed by translation, the data were collected from 255 teachers working at elementary schools located in kyoungsang province. The collected data were analyzed using the Spss 22.0 and Mplus 8.1 program. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, item analysis affirmed that each item was consistent with the entire scale and the distinctive powers of the items were at an acceptable level. Second, as a result of exploratory factor analysis (EFA), a four-factored structure composed of 18 items, which have factor load values of .40 and above was finalized. Third, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) indicated that the fit indexes had values significantly above acceptable values, which confirmed the 4-factored structure. Fourth, the convergence validity of the scale, which showed strong correlation between the scale and CLES2, was good. Fifth, the scale’s internal consistency coefficient, which was .94, indicated high reliability. From the results of the study, we concluded that this scale is an appropriate instrument to evaluate teachers’ management skills within the constructivist learning environment in elementary schools in South Korea.
