만 5세 유아의 혼잣말과 창의성(TCT-DP)간의 관계 탐색

본 연구는 만 5세 유아의 혼잣말과 창의성간의 관계 분석을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 만 5세아 30명을 대상으로 그림 창의성 검사(TCT-DP)를 실시하였고, 과제를 수행하는 동안 발화되는 혼잣말을 수집하였다. 유아들이 보인 혼잣말이그들의 창의성과 어떤 관련성이 있는지 알아보기 위해 남녀를 구분하여 상관분석을 실시하였다. 자료 분석 결과 혼잣말과 창의성 간에는 상관이 거의 없는 것으로나타났다. 다만, 일부 하위요인 간에 유의미한 상관이 나타났는데 남아와 여아들을구분하여 분석해본 결과 성별에 다라 서로 다른 양상을 보였다. 이러한 결과에 대해 논의하고, 추후 더 많은 사례수와 더 세밀한 연구방법으로 재확인될 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate relationship of young children's private speech and creativity. The subjects were 5-year-old children enrolled in a kindergarten in Busan, Korea. To measure the children's creativity, the Test for Creative Thinking-Drawing Production(TCT-DP) made by Jellen & Urban(1986) was used. All private speech utterances emitted by the children during the test were recorded using two video camcoders. The findings of the study are as follows: First, no significant correlation between total private speech and the creativity was found but several significant relationships were found among subcategories of private speech and creativity. Second, gender made some differences in the correlation between private speech and the creativity.
