행복과 소외감에 영향을 미치는 스트레스요인: 미얀마남성이주노동자에 대한 탐색적 실증연구

초록

본 논문은 이주노동자의 행복과 소외에 영향을 미치는 스트레스요인을 규명하는 실증연구결과를 보고하는 성격의 논문이다. 본 연구는 개념적 연구방법과 경험적 연구방법을 병행하되, 주로 경험적인 연구를 통해 연구목적을 달성하고자 하였다. 개념적 연구로 스트레스, 행복 및 소외에 관해 행복과 소외에 영향을 미치는 스트레스요인에 관한 선행연구들을 중심으로 이론적 검토를 하였다. 경험적 연구는 한국에 고용허가제로 취업하고 있는 미얀마 이주노동자 136명에 대한 설문조사를 통한 실증연구로서 행복과 소외에 영향을 미치는 스트레스요인을 분석하였다. 이주노동자의 동향에 대해서도 살펴보아 경험적 연구결과의 해석과 실무적 시사점과 학문적 시사점의 도출에 고려하였다. 실증연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미얀마출신 이주노동자들의 행복의 평균은 5.3(7점 척도)으로 높은 편이며 소외감의 평균은 3.1로 낮은 편인데, 생산물소외감은 5.2로 높은 편이다. 스트레스요인의 평균은 2.9으로 낮은 편인데, 사내차별(5.5)을 포함하는 사내대인문제(4.2)만이 척도중간값인 4.0보다 높았다. 둘째, 이주노동자의 행복에 유의적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 스트레스요인은 ‘생활애로’와 ‘사내대인문제’ 및 ‘괴롭힘당함’이었다. 셋째, 이주노동자의 소외감에 유의적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 스트레스요인은 ‘생활애로’, ‘사외대인문제’, ‘걱정, ‘노동조건열악’, ‘사내대인문제’이었다. 이러한 실증연구결과의 실무적 시사점을 사용자와 정부에 대해 제시하고 학문적 시사점을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 연구의 한계점과 향후연구에의 제언을 제시하였다.

Abstract

This paper is the thesis having characteristic of reporting empirical result on the effect of the stressor on the happiness and the alienation of immigrant labor. In order to accomplishment this goal, an conceptual study and an empirical study is implemented and the primary study is an empirical study. As the conceptual study, we review theoretically stress(or), happiness and alienation in focus on preceding research about the stressor affecting the happiness and the alienation of immigrant labor. An empirical study is survey research about the stressor affecting the happiness and the alienation. The data for an empirical study is obtained from the survey on 136 immigrant male labor from Myanmar in the manufacture industry. The summary of empirical study’s results is follows. 1) The mean of the happiness is 5.3(7 point scale) on the high side and The mean of the alienation is 3.1 on the low side. The mean of the stressor is 2.9 on the low side and interpersonal problem in company only is higher than 4.0 that is middle point in the scale. 2) ‘difficulties of life’, ‘interpersonal problem in the company’ and ‘getting bullied’ had the negative effect on the happiness significantly. 3) ‘daily difficulties’, ‘interpersonal problem outside the company’, ‘anxiety’, ‘inferior conditions of labor’ and ‘interpersonal problem in the company’ had the positive effect on the alienation significantly. The practical implication of these results to employer and government and the academic implication were suggested. Lastly, the limitation of this study and the direction of future study were suggested.
