초록

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of developing creativity through ‘Activities in the Community of Inquiry(ACI)’ in a secondary moral education. Until now, moral education has been known to have nothing to do with creativity. However, this study indicated that moral education can teach divergent and critical thinking, which was subordinate components of creativity, mixing with textbook -based knowledges in moral subject. Moreover this suggested ACI which is theoretically based on John Dewey's pragmatism as a teaching-learning model that can be used in moral education. Then it examined the educational philosophical backgrounds of ACI and its implications interested with developing creativity in moral education. And it analyzed and discussed the effects of ACI in high-school moral instruction.
