Abstract

The results obtained are as follows: First, the students had more interest in the subject of social studies and paid a great deal of attention to class activities. Second, students' satisfaction and achievement increased more and more in this period of the application of the cooperative learning program. Third, this model had students take part in class activities more actively. Fourth, the students used the Internet, newspapers, and encyclopedia, etc. as study-aid material and had more chance to contact them. Fifth, more intimacy and mutual reliance among students occurred than ever before.
