외국어 학습에서 영화매체를 활용한 ‘창의적 글쓰기’ 학습모형 - 한국영화『중독』을 중심으로 -

본고에서는 영화『중독』을 활용하여 한국어 학습에서의 창의적 글쓰기 모형을 구성하였고, 학습자의 적극적인 참여를 유도한 ‘창의적 글쓰기’가 외국어 학습에 있어서도 효과적인 교육 방법임을 제시하였다. 즉 매체로서 영화의 유용성을 통해 창의적인 말하기를 가능하게 하였고, 언어학습의 목표를 이루기 위한 방법으로 창의적인 글쓰기를 제안했다. 가상이지만 현실을 반영한 영화를 통해 학습자는 일반적인 의사소통은 물론 특정 주제에 관해 말하고 쓸 수 있었다. 무엇보다 수업에서는 학습자가 흥미를 가지고 적극적으로 참여하는 능동적인 수업이 가능했으며, 일방적으로 정보가 전달되고 이해되는 것에서 쌍방향으로의 소통이 가능했다. 또한 영화를 활용하여 창의적인 말하기와 글쓰기를 연계한 수업은 다양한 문화콘텐츠를 구성하는 방법이자 외국어 교육에서 효과적인 학습 방법의 하나로 그 가능성이 발견된다는 점에서 통합적인 언어교육을 이루는 데 유용했다. 세계화와 멀티미디어의 발달과 더불어 학생들은 외국어 학습에 있어서도 다양한 요구를 하고 있다. 그러나 지금까지 이러한 요구를 수용할 다양한 교수법이 제시되고 있지 못한 실정이다. 비록 매체를 활용한 교수법이 제시되었다고 해도 체계적이고 구체적으로 제시되지 못했다. 이에 영화를 활용한 창의적인 글쓰기는 새로운 외국어 학습방법의 하나로 제안된다. 물론 영화 설정에 있어 그 수준과 내용, 그리고 흥미와 교양 중 어디에 중점을 둘 것인가의 문제는 계속 논란거리로 남겠지만, 계속된 시도를 통해 수정, 보완된다면 충분히 다양한 교수법의 하나로 그 가치를 가질 것이다.
Abstract
This study suggests the learning model of creative writing using 『Addiction』in Korean education, and examines if 'Creative Writing' that leads learner's participating is an efficient way of learning in foreign language learning. Film helps learner's creative speaking available and eventually it makes creative writing available. Film is imaginary but it reflects reality; therefore, learners can learn how to communicate in Korean, and they can speak and write in Korean on the specific topic. It needs both teachers and learners' effort of course, but the most important thing is that it helps learners participate in the class with interest, and lead the class. Also it is a strong point that the class using films leads interactive communication so it can lead learners' participation. Therefore, a class connecting film and creative speaking․writing can be an effective way of foreign language learning, and it is also effective for integrated language education. With globalization and development of multi-media, there are various learners' demands in foreign language education. However there are not proper teaching method to meet these demands. Even though there are some teaching methods, they are not concrete and systematic. Creative writing using films can be a good example for a new way of foreign language education. Of course we should consider the standard of film to use in the class; the level of the content, where to focus - interest, or education. If we keep tying to develop, modify, and supplement this teaching method, it will have its worth enough.
