예비일반교사를 위한 특수교육학개론 교과목에 대한 교수자들의 교수경험 분석

본 연구는 교원양성대학에서 예비일반교사를 대상으로 교직필수교과목으로 제공되는 특수교육학개론 수업을 담당하는 교수자들의 교수경험을 탐색하였다. 특수교육학개론 수업을 2년 이상 담당한 경력을 가진 교수자 5명을 선정한 후, 개별 면접을 실시하고 관련 자료를 수집하였다. 현상학 연구의 자료 분석과정에 따라 도출된 주제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애학생에 대한 예비일반교사들의 책무성 함양을 위한 노력, 둘째, 장애에 대한 예비일반교사들의 긍정적 인식 형성을 위한 역할 수행, 셋째, 통합교육에 대한 예비일반교사들의 이해를 높이기 위한 다양한 교수방법의 적극적 활용, 넷째, 예비일반교사들의 통합교육 실습 또는 봉사활동기회 마련을 위한 노력, 다섯째, 검증된 교수자료 공유를 위한 지원 시스템 구축의 필요성 촉구이다. 도출된 주제를 기초로 향후 질 높은 통합교사를 양성할 수 있는 특수교육학개론 수업의 효과적인 운영방안에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study investigated the instructors’ teaching experiences in an introduction course in special education for pre-service general education teachers. This study was based on interviews from 5 instructors with over 2 years experience teaching the introduction course in special education. Based on the data-analysis process of phenomenological research, this study identified five major themes. First, efforts of improving of pre-service general education teachers’ accountabilities for students with disabilities. Second, identifying roles in order to build the general education teachers’ positive perceptions regarding disabilities. Third, utilizing various teaching methods for general education teachers’ understanding in inclusive education. Fourth, increased efforts to provide opportunities for teaching practice and volunteer activities for inclusion. Lastly, the need to establish a system for sharing effective teaching materials. Based on these results, the study provided effective ways to manage the introduction course in special education course for training competent inclusive education teachers in future.
