최근 현대 여행객에게 유행처럼 확산되고 있는 해양레저스포츠와 요트 승선 항해 체험은 관광과 여가의 한 축으로 굳게 자리매김하고 있다. 이와 같은 독특한 체험과 여가 욕구를 충족할 수 있는 최적의 자연환경 속에 완벽하게 노출될 수 있는 요트 체험 인구가 점진적으로 증가하고 있으나, 이에 대비한 관광 활성화 방안은 아직은 미흡한 것이 현실이다. 따라서 향후 지속해서 확대 추진될 것으로 예상하는 요트를 이용한 해양관광 활성화 방안에 대한 진지한 고민이 절실히 요구되고 있는 시점이다. 본 연구는 특히 요트 항로 개발과 요트 승선 체험이 관광 의사 결정에 미치는 영향과 상관관계를 분석하여 관광자원 활성화 및 마케팅 방안을 적절히 수립하기 위한 사전작업으로서 그 의미를 지니고 있다. 본 연구는 무인도서의 경관적, 생태적 가치를 포함한 관광 상품 가능성과 접안 및 접근 시설 등 입도 여부 등을 검토하고 요트 항로로서의 활용 가능성 등을 종합적으로 검토하여, 전남 서남권 도서지역의 관광관련 산업의 활성화를 도모할 수 있는 전략을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
In recent years, marine leisure sports and sailing, which are popular among modern travelers, are firmly entrenched in tourism and leisure. Although there is a growing number of people who could expose themselves to the natural environment to have unique experiences and satisfy leisure needs, there is still a lack of ways to revitalize tourism. Therefore, it is a serious challenge to stimulate the revitalization of marine tourism, which is expected to continue to expand in the future. This study is meant as a prerequisite for improving the promotion and marketing of tourism resources by analyzing the effects and correlations of yacht navigation and sailing boat experiences on tourism decision making. By accommodating yacht sailing and maximizing the possibilities of linking islands to the tourist market, the influx of visitors through the development of yacht sailing and other opportunities for advancement of islands is expected to open up the region widely. Also, it is time to connect the islands that have superior and unique characteristics in the southwestern province of Korea, as well as to research and implement yacht sailing courses continuously. The study is expected to provide a strategy for promoting the revitalization of marine tourism related industries in the southwestern province by reviewing the feasibility of tourism, including landscape and ecological values, and evaluating both feasibility and accessibility.
