초록

Mo¨bius syndrome is rare and characterized by congenital facial diplegia. It is usually associated with other cranial palsies and may also be in association with limb or orofacial malformations. The etiology of Mo¨bius syndrome is multifactorial and several determinants have been suggested, including genetic, ischemic and infectious factors. The exposure of toxic materials during pregnancy has been implicated in rare cases. We introduced a case of Mo¨bius syndrome. We have observed the brainstem calcifications at the level of the pons on computed tomography and bilateral facial neuropathy on electrophysiological test.

Abstract

The exposure of toxic materials during pregnancy has been implicated in rare cases. We introduced a case of Mo¨bius syndrome. We have observed the brainstem calcifications at the level of the pons on computed tomography and bilateral facial neuropathy on electrophysiological test.
