한국어 교재의 요약하기 관련 활동 분석 연구 - 학문 목적 한국어교육과 관련성에 주목하여 -

본 연구는 대학 입학 전 언어교육기관에서 외국인 유학생들이 대학 에서 학문 활동을 하는 데 필수적으로 요구되는 요약하기 능력에 대한 교육이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 조사하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 국내 대학 부설 언어교육원에서 폭넓게 쓰이고 있는 교재 중에서 고급 단계의 교재 4종을 선택하여 요약하기 관련 활동을 분석 하였다. 대학 입학 전 사용하는 한국어 교재를 대상으로 요약하기 관련 활동 을 분석한 결과, 세 가지 측면으로 나누어 볼 수 있었다. 먼저 요약 대 상 텍스트는 대부분이 읽기 텍스트에 치중되어 있었으며 대학 생활과 직접적으로 관련된 ‘강의’ 혹은 ‘발표’에 관한 텍스트가 제시되기는 했 지만 그 비중이 매우 적어 실제 강의를 듣고 요약하거나 발표를 듣고 요약하는 능력을 키우기에는 부족하였다. 다음으로 요약하기 활동에 관한 측면에서는 내용을 추출하는 활동과 구조를 파악하거나 새롭게 구조화하는 활동, 그리고 요약할 때 표현적인 지식을 교수하는 활동 으로 나누어 살펴보았는데 대부분 내용을 찾아 요약하는 활동에 치중 되어 있었다. 전체 글의 내용을 파악하기보다 특정 정보만을 찾아 요약 하는 활동이 대부분이었다. 반면에 구조와 표현에 대한 활동은 너무 적어서 학습자가 요약을 할 때 구조를 파악하거나 어떤 표현을 쓸지에 대한 능력을 키우기 어려워 보였다. 마지막으로 대학에서 필요한 ‘복수 텍스트 요약하기’와 관련된 활동이 한 개 제시되기는 했지만 활동이 너무 단순해서 실질적으로 복수 텍스트를 요약하는 능력을 키우는 데에는 부족해 보였다. 교재 분석 결과 대학에서의 요약하기 활동이 제시되고 있기는 하지 만 전체적으로 그 숫자가 매우 부족하며 내용 또한 단순하여 외국인 학습자가 대학에서 요약하기 활동을 수행하기 위한 능력을 키우는 데 에는 부족한 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The basic ability of university students is to understand, analyze, and utilize knowledge. It is very closely related to the summary activities. Summarizing means identifying the content structure and format of text and selecting a central content and reorganizing it with new text. Therefore, it is a very difficult activity for Korean students as well as foreign students. Previous studies have shown that foreign students need to be educated how to summarize. However, research has not shown that foreign students before entering university how to be educated. Therefore, it analyzed the textbooks used by the Korean language institutions, which are used by institutions in the Universities. And studied summary activities that helped them perform academic activities in college. we wanted to find out how much education is happening to foreign students who enter a university, which is a very important but difficult way to learn about foreign students. Seeking to extract summaries related to learning activities that are helpful to foreign students and analyze the activities involved in the university, we wanted to find out how much education is happening to foreign students who enter a university, which is a very important but difficult way to learn about foreign students. As a result, there was a summary of summaries, but there were a number of summary activities that were targeted mostly for read text and not various summaries, such as listening and summarizing frequently used in college. Also, the type of text was focused on reading text. Only two activities concerning the background of college life. Also there was only a few activities in the books that to find out the structure. There was also a very small amount of activity in understanding the structure of long texts. Although there was one problem with using two text messages, the problem was that the problem was not enough to prepare a complex text summary in the university. Through this study, it has become an opportunity to learn about the summary that should be provided to academic learners in the future.
