Abstract
This study estimated women's income loss of career disruption due to child birthing and rearing and other household work. We analyzed 1st through 11th wave of Korea Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS). We utilized Propensity Score Matching(PSM) as non parametric method. It pairs samples by similar characteristics in order to resolve sample selection bias. The results show that the loss of career disruption is 21.9%. Age, education level, duration of disruption are also critical in the amount of loss. Durationg effect was the most serious that women who did not work for more than 5 years show 38.8% of income and wage loss.
