'한국인 정체성 확립'을 위한 공교육 내에서 전통예술문화교육의 실태, 현황분석 및 대안 탐색

이 글의 목적은 ‘한국인 정체성 교육’을 확립하기 위한 공교육 내에서의 전통예술문화교육 의 실태와 현황을 분석하고, 그 대안을 탐색하려는 데 있다. 전통예술문화교육의 실태와 현황분석결과, 제7차 교육과정에서 전통문화예술교육의 필요성과 목적은 제시하고 있으나, 이를 달성하기위한 구체적인 방법은 추상적으로 제시할 뿐이었다. 더불어 그 할당시수 역시 턱없이 부족하여 전통예술문화교육에 대한 우선순위가 뒤로 밀려있다고 볼 수 있다. 전통예술문화교육의 대안으로 세 가지 유형을 제시하였다. 이 유형은 서로 계열적이며, 첫 번째가 교과내유형, 두 번째가 교과간유형, 세 번째가 탈교과유형이다. 이러한 유형을 통해 첫째, 전통 문화에 담겨진 우리 민족의 세계관, 정서, 의식에 대한 교육을 강조하고, 둘째, 전통 문화의 내용이나 형식을 답습하는 것이 아니라 창조적으로 발전시킬 수 있는 교육이 이루어지며, 셋째, 전통 문화의 이해가 교과 통합적으로 이루어진다면, 한국인의 정체성 확립에 한발 다가설 것이다.
Abstract
This research was to develop traditional art and culture education program and to suggest supporting plans for 'identity education for Korean'. The results of study were as follows. Firstly, Although the 7th National Curriculum suggests the need and goal of traditional art and culture education, there is not any specific plan for it. Furthermore, sessions for art and culture education are lacking in education program. Secondly, In this research, 3 types of program were suggested to apply alternative direction in public education. These three types of program are systematic, which are in depth-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary, and meta-disciplinary. Through the research process, alternative plans for traditional art and culture education were as follows. Firstly, perspective of world, emotion, and awareness of Koreans in traditional culture need to be focused. Secondly, education of contents and forms in traditional culture need to be applied for creative development. Finally, understanding of traditional culture needs to integrated with curriculum.
