노자와 공자 그리고 노회찬의 수사(修辭) 비교론 - 기버(Giver)의 전언(傳言) -

노자는 ‘도가’사상의 비조가 아니고, 공자는 ‘유가’사상의 창시자가 아니다. 물론 노자는 대동 사회를 이끈 지도자 ‘성인(聖人)’의 리더십인 ‘하늘의 도(天道)’를 설파한 반면, 공자는 소강 사회를 이끈 지도자 ‘군자(君子)’의 리더십인 ‘사람의 도(人道)’를 강조했다는 약간의 차이점은 존재한다. 하지만 ‘사람의 도’가 ‘하늘의 도’를 원형으로 하여 확대 변형된 것임을 감안한다면, 노자와 공자의 공통점은 압도적으로 그 상이한 점을 능가한다. 한국의 전 국회의원 노회찬 역시 노자나 공자와 마찬가지로 자신의 발언이 일개인의 창의적인 생각과 가치관을 피력한 것이 아니라, 동서고금을 막론하고 예로부터 내려오는 보편타당한 도리를 소개하고 널리 알리고자 노력한 인물이다. 따라서 노자와 공자 그리고 노회찬은 단지 시대를 달리했을 뿐, 그들에게는 태평성대를 이끈 참된 지도자들의 리더십인 ‘도(道)’에 대한 ‘기억 보유자’이자 ‘기억 전달자’로서의 책임을 다하고자 노력한 인물들이었다는 공통점이 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
Abstract
Laozi is not the founder of Taoism, and Confucius is not the founder of Confucianism either. Of course, there is a slight difference in that Laozi preached the “Dao of Heaven”, the leadership of saint who led Datong society, while Confucius emphasized the “Dao of People,” the leadership of gentleman who led the Xiaokang society. However, considering that the “Dao of People” is an enlarged transformation with the “Dao of Heaven” as the prototype, the commonalities between Laozi and Confucius overwhelmingly exceed the differences. Roh Hoe-chan, a former member of the National Assembly of Korea, is also a person who, like Laozi and Confucius, did not express individual creative ideas and values, but tried to introduce and publicize the universal and valid principles that have been passed down since ancient times. Therefore, it can be confirmed that Laozi, Confucius, and Roh Hoe-chan were just different people of different times, and they tried to fulfill their responsibilities as a “Giver” for Dao the leadership of true leaders who led the era of peace.
