It has been generally believed that language is acquired by performer's trying them out in communicative situation and learners need to be actively involved in gaining input through interaction. However, in the TEFL situation, the input the students receive usually comes from teachers who are nonnative speakers. Interaction is not natural like that of first or second language situation. This paper aims to examine the role of input and interaction to elucidate form-focused interaction in TEFL and to show that form-focused can play a significant role of interaction for communication and grammar-based instruction should be represented as a resource to commmunicative meaning.
