It is assumed that teachers greatly influence the classroom learning environment. This is still the case in the new millennium in which the classroom is considered as a more complex learning environment. Specially, in a language classroom, teachers seem more central than in classes of any other subject. The purpose of this study is to ascertain what teacher characteristics should be needed for English teachers in the 21C.
